TOGAF 9.1 simply described some of the stages in the ADM without describing execution. With TOGAF 9.2 there is now a greater focus on Business Architecture phases and Architecture Vision. Additionally, the Technology Architecture in 9.2 has been developed with a broader focus on: Business transformation beyond IT and The second difference between TOGAF 9.2 and TOGAF 9.1 is that they’re starting to make some changes to the way that the business phases are handled and so right now in the TOGAF 9.1 standard you go into the architect’s revision phase and you come up with an architect’s revision, but you’re not really dealing with the business problems. As a result of this cleanup, the overall volume of the TOGAF documentation in the version 9.2 has been reduced to 532 pages from 692 pages in the previous version 9.1.
